divorce is already hard,

let mediation make it easier

WHAT’S IMPORTANT in this journey

A few principles I have.

I want to keep your family intact – in a new form. Whether that be dog visitation or allowed contact with your previous in-laws. I want what you want – for your heart to make it through this and for you to thrive.

It’s my goal to minimize the impact of divorce on children and relationships. I will coach you on how to make this happen. I want to keep your childnre mentally healthy and feeling safe.

I work to resolve issues out of court so that a judge doesn’t get to decide what you’re doing with your life, you do. You can do better than litigation.

I value a direct, pro-active, and solution oriented approach

I encourage our clients to look toward the future and not their past. It is beautiful and bright!

A LITTLE MORE of my background

I have over 15 years of experience working with children, couples, families, & the LGBTQ community. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Illinois and Wisconsin (a non-attorney Divorce Professional).

I wholeheartedly believe in this work. I have been through a Divorce that luckily was done mostly around the kitchen table and then mediated peacefully.

I personally truly believe there are better ways than to involve the courts in making decisions with your lives. In this process there is room for creatively resolving issues.

You get to decide what the next chapter of your lives looks like.

What I’m saying is. I’ve been there. You won’t find another Divorce Mediator with a mental health background who understands the process more intimately.

DIVORCE MEDIATION Roles

Divorce Mediation

DIVORCE Mediation

In divorce mediation, you and your spouse—or, in some cases, the two of you and your respective lawyers—hire a neutral third party, called a mediator, to meet with you in an effort to discuss and resolve the issues in your divorce. Most mediations end in a settlement of all of the issues in your divorce.

Family Therapy

CHILD THERAPIST For Divorce Couples

Working with the children, the child specialist

1) offers support and comfort during a stressful time

2) makes available a place and context for them to share their story about what’s happening in their family

3) allows them an opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns they may be reluctant to bring up with their mother or father, and

4) encourages them to identify specific hopes and fears about their immediate circumstances and the future.

Divorce Coaching

DIVORCE Coaching

A divorce coach is a specially trained divorce professional who takes you from where you are now, and helps you get to where you want to be once your divorce is over. A divorce coach focuses on your future, and helps you devise a workable plan for getting through your divorce so you can create the future you desire.

co-parenting coaching

CO-PARENTING Coaching

Divorce and Co-Parent Coaching offers guidance through the transition from spouses/partners to co-parents. Whether you’ve been married, lived together or simply have a child you want to raise as co-parents, learning to work together in the best interest of your child is the purview of the co-parent coach. Most common use of co-parent coaching is in developing a parenting plan. However, many parents access the guidance of a co-parent coach for implementing their parenting plan after divorce/separation, reducing conflict, and developing practices and protocols that work in two-home families.
